I have now been a customer of Gracinda Maier for four real estate transactions including the purchase of one property and the sale of three properties.In all of these transactions, I have been highly pleased by the results,the process,her performance,and her professionalism.

The first transaction involved purchase of a single family residence in a shared equity arrangement with a colleague of mine.Gracinda was instrumental in negotiating a significant reduction from the asking price.She also monitored and assisted throughout the purchase to assure that appropriate actions were completed by the seller.

The second transaction involved the sale of my principal residence in Solana Beach.Gracinda did an excellent job marketing this property.She prepared color postcards that were mailed to a number of agents and potential buyers.In addition,she ensured that the property was included in a 'fine homes' magazine from her agency.When offers were received she served as a strong advocate for my interests.Her efforts resulted in the property selling for close to its asking price.She also professionally handled a rather difficult situation involving a competing offer that was mishandled by that buyer’s agent.

The third transaction involved sale of my(condominium)principal residence in Mission Valley.The property sold virtually on the day it was listed in the MLS.At the time of sale,the resulting price was the highest for similar units since prices peaked in early 1990.Again, the transaction proceeded without a hitch.Gracinda oversaw property inspection and provided other services which might more typically fall to the seller.

The most recent sale,which is currently in escrow,involves sale of my mother’s residence.We obtained a very favorable price within days of listing.The transaction is proceeding on schedule.Gracinda has assisted in obtaining services for termite inspection/fumigation/repair,painting,and repair of window screens.

Over the past decade, I have called on Ms. Maier to provide me with information regarding the real estate market in general and information on specific properties on many occasions.She is always prompt, thorough,and accurate.I have utmost confidence in her integrity.She is bright. She also has a great sense of humor the importance of which should not be underrated in sometimes difficult negotiations and transactions.

In May of 1999,we decided to purchase a home.Not only had we never bought a home before, we were completely new to California.We started driving around the Solana Beach/Del Mar area looking for homes.A call to one of the perspective homes connected us with a broker,who recommended Gracinda Maier.

We thought we did not need a realtor and we were nervous about working with one.We called Gracinda to get information on other homes for ownership.Over the phone,Gracinda sounded much more genuine and knowledgeable than the other realtors with whom we had spoken.She asked us questions that we had never thought to ask.We then decided to meet with Gracinda to see how she could help us in the search for our new home.
